LTP Curriculum Training Workshops
There are two options for incorporating LTP into your school or classroom. You may attend LTP Teacher Training and become an LTP teacher, which includes all of the benefits listed below, or you may bring an LTP-trained photographer to your school or classroom (the LTP Cohort Teacher Program).
Option 1: LTP Teacher Training
Attend LTP Teacher Training and use the LTP curriculum on your own in your classroom. Literacy Through Photography is an approved CPE Provider for the State of Texas.
Option 2: The LTP Cohort Teacher Program Classroom-based teaching residencies with artists and photographers trained specifically to teach the LTP curriculum. FotoFest provides an LTP trained instructor to lead the LTP curriculum during one classroom period per week. We can create a custom-tailored residency to meet the needs of your school.

Teacher training
The Literacy Through Photography program has been invaluable for me with my 7th grade English Classroom.
-Carl Abramowitz, 7th Grade English Teacher, Chinquapin School
Learning to use a camera
My students have never opened up in their writing like they are right now with LTP.
-Rosanette Luther, Senior English teacher, Furr High School
LTP has reinforced and strengthened many of the skills our third graders are learning in their writing class and has given students the opportunity to express their creativity through a different art form... The opportunity to focus on higher-order thinking skills such as making inferences and drawing conclusions through “reading” photographs has also greatly supplemented our school’s focus on critical thinking. We are grateful for the experience that our third graders have had with LTP this year.
